The “Lapidando Cidadãos” project was born from the partnership between tennis players from Vacaria and the Association of Assisted Boys and Girls, with the aim of spreading tennis to all social classes, especially to vulnerable children, with the objective of transmitting values that this sport provides in a playful way. Initially, the project aimed to provide the practice of tennis to about 70 children, however, due to the receptivity of young people, the population in general and support from local entrepreneurs, currently the Lapidando Cidadãos Project serves approximately 1000 children and adolescents, who are attended in the school counter-shift and on average two tennis classes a week each.
